Believe it or not, Marissa didn’t always plan on strutting down runways. After graduating with her Criminology degree, she actually did an internship as a detective! But as much as she admired the work, Marissa realized her passion lay elsewhere. So, she decided to switch gears and pursue a more creative path as a digital nomad and content creator.
3. Entrepreneurship Runs in Her Blood
If you’re wondering where Marissa’s business smarts come from, look no further than her dad! She credits him with inspiring her entrepreneurial journey. “My dad was always an entrepreneur, and he instilled that spirit in me,” she shared. From there, Marissa dove headfirst into learning everything she could about marketing and online platforms, all while juggling jobs as a waitress and bartender to make it happen.
4. She Got Her Start with Affiliate Marketing
Marissa’s journey into social media began with affiliate marketing, where she honed her skills at Global Affiliate Zone from 2017 to 2019. She even dabbled in network marketing with Monat Global. Later, she moved on to work as a marketing specialist, and by 2020, she was running her own show as a Social Media Manager for her own company, Reality with Riss LLC.

Today, Marissa DuBois is a social media powerhouse! After helping other brands grow, she realized she could channel that same energy into building her own brand. Now, she boasts over 624,000 Instagram followers, more than a million TikTok fans, and her YouTube channel (launched in 2018) has over 361,000 subscribers. She collaborates with major brands like PrettyLittleThing, Fashion Nova, and Halara, sharing everything from fashion tips to fitness routines and travel adventures.

Don’t be fooled by her stunning photos – Marissa’s life isn’t always as glamorous as it looks!
